Carol Bales

Assistant Director of Communications, Interdisciplinary Studies and Center for Documentary Studies

Carol focuses on strategic communications, storytelling and content development for the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies and the Center for Documentary Studies. Previously, Carol worked at IntraHealth International, a global health nonprofit operating in over 30 countries to expand access to essential health care. There she developed strategic content for websites, blogs and social media, led communications for advocacy coalitions, and spearheaded awareness and advocacy campaigns. She also produced videos and photographs to document the organization’s digital health, family planning, gender and HIV work in East and West Africa.
