Check Out These Climate+ Summer Research Projects

Since 2015, Ed Balleisen has led the university’s efforts to advance interdisciplinarity, partnering with academic leaders across campus. We asked him to reflect on what makes Duke’s interdisciplinary approach distinctive.

Deadline: January 20, 2026. The overarching goal is to bring together groups of researchers from across campus to exchange ideas and advance a topic of current and timely interest.

Deadline: February 6, 2026. The Duke Climate Collaboration Symposia are on-campus convenings designed to accelerate climate solutions by developing new collaborations among Duke scholars and external partners.
