Kristen Bottema-Beutel, PhD

Please join us for the next presentation in our 2022-2023 Duke Center for Autism Speaker Series! Our speaker will be Kristen Bottema-Beutel, PhD, associate professor of special education in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College. Dr. Bottema-Beutel received her PhD in Special Education from the University of California at Berkeley. In her research, she uses quantitative and qualitative methods to understand social and language development, and social interaction dynamics in autistic children, youth, and adults. She is also interested in developing supports to help autistic people participate and thrive in school and work settings. More recently, Dr. Bottema-Beutel has explored meta-science topics such as researcher ethics, researcher discourse about autism, and research quality in intervention research for autistic people. She is a senior deputy editor for the journal Autism in Adulthood, and an associate editor for the journal Autism. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - PLEASE REGISTER AT THE LINK PROVIDED.
