Contemporary Epistemologies of Moving Images: Graphs, Diagrams and Topographies
The 4th edition of the Literature-Cinema Colloquium Series, "Contemporary Epistemologies of Moving Images: Graphs, Diagrams and Topographies," will take place online and in person at Duke University.
This transatlantic conference is organized by The Center for French and Francophone Studies at Duke University and The Amazon Lab at Duke, as well as the Université Paris-Cité (CERILAC and LARCA) and the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3 (IRCAV).
It will include opening remarks by Fredric Jameson and a keynote lecture by Rey Chow as well as six panels featuring papers by Pietro Bianchi, Kriss Ravetto, Clémence Folléa, Jamille Pinheiro Dias, Gustavo Procopio Furtado, Jessica Doyle, Tom Conley, Stephanie Boulard, Martine Beugnet, Elie Raufaste, Emmanuelle André, Anne-Gaëlle Saliot, Cate Reilly, Guillaume Soulez, Achille Castaldo, Florian Body, and Diego Gachadouat Ranz.
All events, including screenings of Jacques Perconte's Avant l'effondrement du Mont Blanc (2020, 16mins) and Anouk De Clercq's Thing (2013, 18 mins), will take place at Rubenstein Arts Center at Duke University and are free and open to the public.
